Branding, packaging, and illustrations for a kava drink mix. Kava is drunk in Polynesian culture (especially within the island of Fiji) for hundreds, if not thousands of years, for it’s relaxing qualities. The handlettered logo nods to the ancient practice of kava being given as a gift, cradled within a coconut cup. The greens and browns reminds one of island paradise. A touch of Polynesian kitsch was used to lightened the design, but updated and sparingly. The purity of the product is reflected in the use of white, Kalm Down is a brand you can trust.
